Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a high level of administrative support for the Diagnostic and Surgery service within Urology based at St Jamess Hospital, as well as providing wider support to the Urology department.Main areas of responsibility and knowledge include but are not restricted toManaging the Diagnostic and Surgery service within Urology, including the adding of patients to Diagnostic waiting lists, booking the appointments and updating all relevant systems.Knowledge of the Cancer Pathways, particularly understanding of the 2ww targets.Knowledge of the Diagnostic Pathways and targets.Diary and template management.Knowledge of Hospital systems and applications i.e. PAS, PPM1, PPM+ and ICEEnsuring appropriate and timely escalations are made regarding any challenges and potential breaches to the management team.

What you will bring to the roleEducated to GCSE standard (or equivalent) English language grade C or above.Experience of using IT applications in a Windows based environment.Excel, Word and OutlookExperience of working in a Health Care settingExcellent communication SkillsAble to work on own Initiative.Able to work as part of a team.Able to prioritise Workload.Understanding of Escalation Processes and the need for these to be in place.FlexibilityKnowledge of Cancer PathwaysAbility to use the Trusts Patient Administration systems.Please see the attached job description for further information about this vacancy.

Job Summary

What you will bring to the role
