Job Description
Overview

Administrative Assistant
Permanent position, full-time working 37 hours per week, term time only including 6 INSET days, plus 2 weeks for 41.2 weeks per year.
Salary: Grade 6: £27,254 - £30,024 per annum pro rata
Actual salary: £24,874.25 - £27,402.38 per annum

The preferred working pattern for this role is 7:45am - 3:45pm, Monday to Friday with a 3:15pm finish on one day per week. However, due to the nature of the role, a degree of flexibility with this pattern will be required.

Role overview and organisation

John Taylor Multi Academy Trust (JTMAT) believes in the power of education to improve lives - and the world. As a partner academy in JTMAT, we are seeking to appoint a hardworking, committed and enthusiastic Administrative Assistant to join our evolving organisation.

Responsibilities
  • Provide effective support across HR Administration, Cover Coordination and Examinations.
  • Assist with the smooth day-to-day running of the school and manage competing priorities with excellent attention to detail.
  • Work closely with senior leaders, teaching staff and external agencies to ensure staffing, cover and examinations are administered efficiently, accurately and in line with statutory and school requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality, safeguarding and support a positive school environment.

  • Highly organised and proactive administrator with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work with a range of stakeholders and manage competing priorities.
