Administration Team Member (Deputy Team Leader)

East Peckham, £29,218 per annum, Permanent Position Immediate Start Available


We are currently recruiting for an experienced Administration Team Member to join a busy Logistics and Warehouse operation in East Peckham.


This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in warehouse administration, logistics administration, or office administration within a warehouse environment who is looking to take on additional responsibility. Working as the second-in-command to the Team Leader, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of a team of 11 while ensuring all orders are processed and dispatched efficiently.


This is a varied role that combines administration, operational coordination, and hands-on warehouse support during peak periods.


Working Hours

Rotating Weekly Shifts:


  • Week 1: 8:00am to 4:00pm
  • Week 2: 10:00am to 6:00pm

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Team Leader with the day-to-day management of the administration team.
  • Oversee the order allocation and dispatch process.
  • Coordinate courier bookings and maintain accurate information flow.
  • Print and prepare picking notes and delivery documentation.
  • Liaise with multiple departments to ensure orders are processed and shipped on time.
  • Resolve issues quickly and effectively to minimise delays.
  • Respond to customer and internal queries.
  • Finalise orders and maintain accurate records.
  • Monitor goods-in and stock control administration activities.
  • Suggest and implement process improvements where appropriate.
  • Ensure documentation is maintained, archived, and compliant.
  • Report Health & Safety concerns as required.
  • Assist with warehouse picking and packing during busy periods.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:


  • Previous experience within a warehouse administration, logistics administration, or operational office environment.
  • Experience supporting, leading, or supervising a team.
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships across departments.
  • A proactive and hands-on approach.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • The ability to work independently and perform under pressure.
  • A willingness to support warehouse operations when required.
