Are you an experienced administrator with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering outstanding patient service? We have an exciting opportunity for an Administration Lead to join our Diagnostics team in High Wycombe.
This is a rewarding role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and enjoys leading teams to deliver exceptional service. You'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of reception, appointment scheduling and administrative services, helping to create an excellent experience for both patients and colleagues.
As our Administration Lead, you'll provide hands on leadership and management to the Administration, Reception and Housekeeping teams. You'll be responsible for ensuring services run efficiently, staffing levels are maintained and patients receive a professional and welcoming experience at every stage of their journey.
Working closely with operational and clinical colleagues, you'll oversee appointment scheduling, rota management, service performance and team development, whilst supporting the ongoing delivery of a patient centred diagnostic service.
What you'll be doing- Leading and supporting the Administration, Reception and Housekeeping teams.
- Managing staffing levels, annual leave, sickness absence and rota planning.
- Ensuring excellent customer service standards are consistently maintained.
- Overseeing patient bookings, scheduling and administrative processes.
- Supporting recruitment, performance management and staff appraisals.
- Working closely with clinical teams to ensure clinic rotas align with service requirements.
- Managing communication within the team and escalating issues where appropriate.
- Supporting operational improvements and maintaining high service standards.
- Ensuring patient confidentiality and data protection requirements are upheld.
- Providing practical support across the service as required.
- Strong customer service experience
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Good IT skills and experience of data inputting and administrative systems
- Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively under pressure
- A flexible and proactive approach to work
- Experience working within a healthcare environment - desirable
- Experience of appointment booking and scheduling - desirable
- Management qualification or leadership training - desirable
