Job Description
Administration Assistant (Level 3)

(17.5 hours permanent position, to start ASAP)

The Academy Committee of St. Augustine's Catholic Academy wishes to appoint a permanent Level 3 Administration Assistant for 17.5 hours per week, term time. Working hours are open to discussion.

Salary: Level 3, SCP 4 £24,796 (Actual salary £10,258.45 per annum).

Responsibilities
  • Support the Catholic ethos of the school.
  • Undertake a range of reception duties, such as answering the phone, monitoring the office email account, greeting visitors to the school, and assisting with reprographics and general administrative tasks.
  • Act as the first point of contact in response to telephone and face to face enquiries.
  • Demonstrate a sound working knowledge of and use of a range of IT programmes.
  • Show excellent communication skills with students, staff and visitors.
  • Have a flexible approach and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Think on their feet and use initiative.
  • Be motivated, passionate and reflective about their work.
  • Perform any other duties appropriate to the post.
Qualifications
  • Relevant qualifications/experience or training (GCSE Maths and English or equivalent).
  • Desirable experience using Word and Excel.
  • NVQ level 2/3 in Administration or equivalent.
