Administration Assistant

Health Visiting & School Nursing Team - Uist and Barra

Band: 3 (£28,051 - £30,274 pro rata)

Distant Island Allowance: £1,408 pro rata

Hours: 13 hours per week

Employment: Permanent post

Overview

The post is located in Balivanich Clinic, Balivanich. It supports the health visiting and school nursing team across Uist and Barra.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the health visiting and school nursing team.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date databases.
  • Prepare and take minutes for meetings.
  • Support communication with staff, patients and external partners.
  • Assist with scheduling and coordination of visits and appointments.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and IT skills; proficient with Microsoft Office and database applications.
  • Flexible and willing to cover varied aspects of the role.
  • Valid driving licence and car ownership for travel between Uist and Barra.
  • Commitment to providing a high standard of service.
Additional Information
  • Successful applicant must register with the PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) scheme.
  • Relocation expenses are not eligible.
  • Opening for up to 36 hours per week for full time positions after 1/4/2026; part time hours will be adjusted pro rata.
