Administration Assistant

Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust - Droitwich Health Centre

Part time (18 hours over 3 evenings, 17:30-23:30)

We are seeking a motivated, flexible, and highly motivated team player to join our Countywide Evening and Night Hub. The role involves supporting nursing staff in triaging and planning patient visits, maintaining patient privacy, and coordinating with ambulance, GP out of hours, and discharge services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting nurses in allocating visits through IT systems
  • Managing calls from patients, families, and external services
  • Participating in staff meetings, training and professional development activities
  • Supporting the team to achieve organisational objectives

Required skills and abilities:

  • Positive attitude and ability to accept feedback
  • Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written)
  • Good literacy, numeracy, and organisational skills
  • Standard IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) - to be tested at interview
  • Knowledge of office procedures and data protection regulations
  • Professional demeanour and discretion with confidential information
  • Willingness to commit to continuing professional development

Qualifications:

  • Level 2 qualification (e.g., GCSE A C, NVQ2, OCR/RSA2, City and Guilds 2) in a business administration related subject, or comparable NHS administrative experience with the intention to undertake the required qualification on appointment

Experience:

  • Recent, relevant experience in an administrative, secretarial, or reception role
