Job Description
Administration and Project Support Officer

The closing date is 19 May 2026

This part time secondment (22.5 hours per week) provides administrative and project support to the Operational Lead and Speciality Clinical Director. The role requires strong organisational, proactive and communicative skills to support service development and operational excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive administrative and organisational support: manage diaries, coordinate meetings, prepare agendas and minutes, handle correspondence, maintain records and compliance matrices.
  • Act as first point of contact for enquiries and manage incoming communication, maintaining confidentiality.
  • Support projects, feedback mechanisms and Freedom of Information responses: maintain project plans, gather data, compile reports, liaise with internal teams and external agencies.
  • Contribute to business continuity planning and proactive service improvement activities.
Qualifications
  • Good level of education: GCSE (English and Maths) C or above or equivalent.
  • ECDL and other business or administrative qualifications.
Knowledge and Expertise
  • Experience with secretarial procedures, including Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), email and internet.
  • Organisational and planning skills with effective time management.
  • Analytical skills to interpret information and generate reports.
  • Effective minute taking skills.
Experience
  • Significant experience at a similar level.
  • Experience supporting a Senior Management Team / Executive Directors.
  • Experience communicating with Senior Management.
  • Experience working in the NHS or public sector.
Additional Information
  • Salary: £28,392 to £31,157 per annum (pro rata).
