Part Time: 30.00 Hours, 39 Weeks (term time only)
The postholder can work over 4 or 5 days this will be discussed with the successful candidate.
The Governing Body is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and committed Administrative Assistant to join our busy administration team. The post holder will need to be experienced in data. Training will be provided however a data background is required.
The Ideal Candidate- Have previous experience working in a school office or education setting, preferably within a secondary school, if possible, but not essential.
- Have experience using SIMS or a similar Management Information System (MIS).
- Be confident managing and maintaining pupil and staff data, ensuring information is accurate and kept up to date.
- Have excellent Excel skills, including sorting/filtering data, formulas, percentages and producing reports.
- Be able to extract information from SIMS and produce reports, spreadsheets and statistical information for senior leaders.
- Understand the importance of data quality, checking information and identifying discrepancies.
- Have a good understanding of UK GDPR, data protection and confidentiality, particularly when handling sensitive pupil, parent and staff information.
- Be able to deal professionally with parents, pupils, staff, governors and external agencies.
- Have excellent organisational skills and be able to prioritise competing deadlines in a busy school office.
- Be confident dealing with telephone calls, emails, correspondence and general administrative enquiries.
- Be able to work independently while also being an effective member of the administrative team.
- Have excellent attention to detail, particularly when entering or reporting data.
- Be calm, approachable and professional, particularly when dealing with sensitive or difficult situations.
- Be willing to learn new systems and adapt as the school's administrative and data requirements change.
