  • Supporting student wellbeing through pastoral and attendance interventions.
  • Coordinating internal and external Sixth Form applications.
  • Monitoring attendance and liaising with students, parents and carers where concerns arise.
  • Providing information and guidance on post-18 pathways, including university, apprenticeships and employment.
  • Supporting the delivery of the Sixth Form Enrichment Programme.
  • Assisting with the organisation of key events, including Open Evenings, Parents' Evenings and Induction Day.
  • Supporting university visits and the UCAS application process.
  • Sharing relevant Sixth Form updates with staff.

SEND Administration

The successful candidate will provide high-quality administrative support to the Assistant Principal/SENCo, helping to ensure effective provision for students with SEND and compliance with statutory requirements.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing the SENCo diary and coordinating meetings and EHCP Annual Reviews.
  • Preparing agendas, taking accurate minutes and distributing documentation.
  • Maintaining the SEND register and student databases, including SIMS and Arbor.
  • Ensuring SEND records are securely stored and maintained in line with GDPR requirements.
  • Supporting evidence gathering for funding applications and exam access arrangements.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for parents, carers and external professionals.
  • Liaising with primary schools to facilitate successful Year 7 SEND transitions.
  • Circulating student profiles and support strategies to teaching staff.
  • Monitoring and ordering specialist resources and equipment.
  • Assisting with SEND budget monitoring and expenditure tracking.

About You

They are looking for a candidate who:

  • Is highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Can build positive relationships with students, parents, staff and external agencies.
  • Maintains confidentiality and handles sensitive information with professionalism.
  • Demonstrates a calm, supportive and student-centred approach.
  • Is confident using IT systems and databases, including SIMS or similar platforms.
  • Has knowledge of SEND processes and/or Sixth Form administration (desirable).
