We are a small, independent forestry and nature restoration business based in the west of Ireland, working primarily with farmers, landowners, and community organisations across Galway and Clare.
Our work goes beyond standard forestry services. Alongside core farm forestry and woodland establishment, we are actively developing and demonstrating innovative, ecologically grounded land-use models, including:

We aim to show what good forestry and land stewardship can look like in practice - grounded, local, and realistic - while quietly pushing the system in a better direction.
The Role
We are seeking a part-time Admin & Communications Coordinator to support the running of the business and help organise, communicate, and share our work.
The role combines admin and organisational support with a strong communications and content component, particularly around the Farm Forestry Series and woodland promotion projects.
There is clear potential for this role to grow into a full-time position after an initial trial period, as the business develops.

- Continuous Cover Forestry (CCF)
- Bog and wetland restoration projects
- Climate-resilient and experimental forestry approaches

- A Farm Forestry video series with the Department of Agriculture, documenting real projects on working farms
- Woodland promotion and farmer education initiatives
- Field days, site visits, and community-based learning events

The Role
We are seeking a part-time Admin & Communications Coordinator to support the running of the business and help organise, communicate, and share our work.
The role combines admin and organisational support with a strong communications and content component, particularly around the Farm Forestry Series and woodland promotion projects.

Salary, Hours & Working Arrangement
- € 17 - 21, - /hour Depending on Experience & Variety of skills.
- 16-20 hours per week (2-2.5 days) initially
- Flexible hours
- Remote / hybrid, with around one day per week working together, especially early on
- Being based in the Galway / Clare region (or nearby) is likely necessary
- 3-6 month trial period, with review and potential to increase hours
Core Responsibilities
Admin & Organisation
- Manage emails, enquiries, and follow-ups
- Support forestry and funding applications
- Document and file management
- Basic bookkeeping preparation
- Occasional event organisation (field days, volunteer days, workshops)
Communications & Content
- Manage social media for the Farm Forestry Series and related projects
- Schedule posts and write/edit short captions
- Organise photos and videos
- Basic photo editing and visual organisation
- Finalise and maintain website & content
- Coordination of nature education signage
Skills & Experience
- Strong organisational skills
- Comfortable with admin, documents, and digital tools
- Good written communication
- Confidence using (or learning) website and social media platforms
- Interest in forestry, nature, land use, or environmental education is a strong plus
Forestry experience is not required.
