Location: Outskirt of Aylesbury
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour, depending on experience
Assignment: 6-9 months, potentially longer
Transport: Own transport essential due to location

Pertemps Recruitment Partnership is currently recruiting for an experienced Administrator to join an established operational environment based on the outskirt of Aylesbury.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-focused administrator who is looking to build on their operational experience, with the potential to develop into a Demand Planner / Planning role within a manufacturing environment. Full training and guidance will be provided to support the successful candidate in developing their planning skills.

Please note: due to the location, candidates must have their own transport.

The Role

As an Administrator, you will provide essential administrative and operational support to the planning and service centre functions. You will play a key role in ensuring information, systems and workflows are accurate, up to date and effectively communicated across multiple stakeholders.

The role would suit someone who enjoys working in a busy operational environment and has excellent attention to detail, organisation and communication skills.

You will initially focus on administrative and planning coordination activities, with the opportunity to develop your knowledge and experience towards a future Demand Planner position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date information across operational and planning systems.

  • Update job statuses and ensure planning information reflects current operational activity.

  • Provide administrative support to planners and operational teams.

  • Ensure planning information and documentation is complete and accurate.

  • Coordinate information between operations, transport and other internal stakeholders.

  • Track job progress and identify missing, incomplete or inaccurate information.

  • Maintain accurate records and ensure information is readily accessible.

  • Support daily operational reporting, tracking and workload updates.

  • Assist with planning handovers and ensure continuity of information.

  • Identify data discrepancies and support their resolution.

  • Follow defined processes and maintain high standards of data integrity.

  • Support the team with general administrative and coordination duties.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement by highlighting recurring process or data issues.

  • Develop an understanding of planning principles, capacity and demand management with training and guidance.

Development Opportunity - Demand Planning

For the right candidate, this position offers the potential to progress into a Demand Planner / Service Centre Planner role within a manufacturing and operational environment.

About You

We are specifically looking for a candidate with:

  • Significant administrative experience within an operational environment.

  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.

  • The ability and potential to progress into a Demand Planner role within a manufacturing environment.

  • Confidence working with multiple stakeholders and fast-paced operational workflows.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong data accuracy and information management skills.

  • Good Microsoft Excel and general IT skills.

  • The ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines.

  • A methodical and process-driven approach.

  • A willingness to learn and develop within planning and operational functions.

  • Previous experience within manufacturing, construction, logistics, production or a similar operational environment would be advantageous.

You don't necessarily need to have previous Demand Planning experience. What is important is that you have strong administration and coordination experience, are comfortable working with data and operational information, and have the drive and capability to develop your planning knowledge.
