Join Our Client as an Administrative Officer (Band E) - Bedlington

Temporary assignment until January 2027, however highly likely to be extended.

Must be able to pass a DBS and have valid right to work.

What you'll be doing:
  • Preparing for and supporting all types of hearings through comprehensive administrative tasks.
  • Engaging with users and stakeholders face to face, via telephone (incoming and outgoing), and through written correspondence, providing clear guidance and signposting to appropriate support services.
  • Using HMCTS service scripts and knowledge articles to direct users to relevant services, ensuring they receive accurate and tailored information.
  • Supporting users through complaints procedures, offering immediate assistance to prevent escalation and updating systems as needed.
  • Identifying and reporting risks related to HMCTS buildings, supporting health and safety protocols.
  • Processing work according to standard operating procedures to meet performance targets and maintain service standards.
  • Managing case files with accurate data entry, secure information handling, and compliance with data retention policies.
  • Handling jury service tasks, including scheduling, deferrals, and expense processing.
  • Assisting with court listing and scheduling, ensuring judicial time is optimised and urgent matters are prioritised.
  • Providing judicial support such as diary management and administrative assistance.
  • Supporting enforcement activities, including financial assessments and producing basic reports.
  • Contributing to health and safety operations, including facility checks, issue logging, and safety governance.
What you'll bring:
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with diverse users and stakeholders.
  • Experience in handling administrative processes, ideally within a legal or government environment.
  • Ability to follow procedures accurately and work effectively under pressure.
  • Knowledge of health and safety protocols and risk management.
  • Proficiency in data entry and document management systems.
