Job Description

Actuarial Developer Lead vacancy for a Switzerland based client in the financial services sector.

Your tasks:

  • Developing Python components within the financial and reserving system upgrade.
  • Contributing to the continued development of system documentation and testing of components.
  • Integrating components with databases and internal and external web services.
  • Improving best practices and code quality.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Your experience/knowledge:

  • Actuarial knowledge ideally from non-life reserving and/or IFRS17 implementations.
  • Strong hands-on experience developing in Python with knowledge of core numerical libraries like Pandas, Polars, and Numpy.
  • Good SQL/database knowledge and experience with Python components for database integration, especially Sqlalchemy and Alembic.
  • Familiarity with Azure Dev Ops, Git, and web services.
  • Language skills: English.

  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
