The role of an Activities Coordinator at Bosworth Care Home in Weymouth involves planning and executing a range of engaging activities and events for the residents. This is a part-time position working 12 hours per week on weekends, offering a competitive hourly rate of £12.85. Main duties of the jobAs an Activities Coordinator at Bosworth Care Home, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a diverse activities program to enhance the well-being and quality of life for the residents.
- Providing companionship, organizing events, coordinating external entertainers and outings.
- Supporting residents' mobility and independence through various activities.
- Working closely with residents to understand their preferences and ensure the activities cater to their needs and interests.
Bosworth Care Home, part of Agincare Homes Holdings, is a well-established care home in Weymouth that has been serving the local community since 1988. Job responsibilities- Companionship - providing support, companionship, communication and engagement with residents.
- Creating activities - designing an engaging activities plan both internally and with external resources.
- Event planning - involved with planning events such as summer BBQs or Christmas parties for our residents.
- Resident interaction - speaking with residents to see which activities they want and bringing them to fruition.
- External communications - speaking with external entertainers or businesses to organise visits from entertainers or arranging visits to businesses for the residents.
- Mobility - supporting the client to live as independently as possible with activities such as Zumba or ballroom or balloon tennis.
- Social activities - trips out, social engagements and activities within the home for all abilities.
- Team support - helping new or existing colleagues through shadowing and teamwork, and supporting the smooth running of the home when required.
- Close-knit, friendly team with many long-standing staff members.
- Ongoing training and development opportunities with funded qualifications up to QCF level 5.

Activities Coordinator - 12 hours per week - Weekends only - Bosworth Care Home, Southdown Avenue, Weymouth, DT3 6HR.
Working hours: 10am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday each week.
Pay: £12.85 per hour.
