As an Activities Coordinator at Akari Care, you will develop and implement engaging activities for elderly residents, ensuring a supportive, inclusive and safe environment.
Job responsibilities• Plan a variety of activities that cater to all tastes, abilities and cultures, promoting diversity and inclusion.
• Collaborate with the Home Manager, community teams and residents' families to facilitate socialisation and enriched resident lives.
• Initiate rolling or individual programmes that encourage participation, maintain hobbies and explore new activities.
• Support and encourage colleagues, relatives and friends to participate in activities, enhancing overall community engagement.
• Accompany residents to off site activities where possible, going above and beyond to enrich their experience.
• Assist with innovative fundraising initiatives and budgeting for entertainment, materials and outings.
• Create an environment that is caring, secure and respectful, preserving residents' dignity and individuality.
- Experience working in a similar environment and role.
- A caring nature with the ability to give each resident a personal approach.
- Flexible and adaptable to changes at short notice.
- Ability to work well under pressure without negatively impacting those around you.
- Warm, approachable and engaging persona.
