At Parkdean Resorts, we're looking for an enthusiastic and safety focused Assistant Activity & Leisure Manager to help deliver our swimming pool and on park activity programme. This hands on role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast paced leisure environment and enjoys leading teams, supporting guest experience, and ensuring safe and compliant operations.
As an Assistant Activity & Leisure Manager, you'll work closely with the Activity & Leisure Manager to ensure all swimming pool and activity operations run safely, smoothly, and to the highest standard. You'll support team leadership, ensure compliance with operational and safety procedures, and help deliver a fun, engaging programme for guests of all ages.
What you will be doing- Support the delivery of the swimming pool and activities programme to an excellent standard, ensuring outstanding guest service.
- Prepare and support with weekly staffing rotas in line with operational needs and compliance requirements.
- Ensure guest and team safety by following all health & safety, safeguarding, and operational procedures.
- Assist in maintaining pool plant equipment, reporting issues promptly, and ensuring facilities operate safely and efficiently.
- Carry out water quality and chemical testing, taking corrective action where required, and maintaining accurate records.
- Follow correct opening and closing procedures for pool facilities, plant rooms, and equipment.
- Support the handling of guest feedback and complaints, ensuring quick and positive resolutions.
- Help supervise, coach, and develop leisure and lifeguard teams, contributing to regular 1 2 1s and ongoing performance support.
- Pool Plant Operations and Lifeguard Trainer Assessor qualifications.
- Experience supporting or managing a team within leisure, hospitality, or a customer focused environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with team members and guests.
- Good commercial awareness with an understanding of guest experience and operational efficiency.
- A First Aid at Work qualification (desirable).
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends, evenings, and bank holidays.
