Job Description

Sterling Williams are working alongside an International Bank based in the City of London who are looking to hire into their Finance Department for a Finance Officer who will focus on Accounts Payable.

The successful candidate will have previous experience from within the Banking and Financial Services industry in the UK in a finance or accounts payable/purchase ledger function.

Finance Officer

Permanent; full-time

Salary circa £40,000 pa plus benefits

City of London based (currently 5 days per week)

The purpose of the role (amongst other things) is to maintain all Nostro accounts, and make sure they are reconciled daily. Follow up on all outstanding items, process invoices (Accounts Payable) and staff reimbursements/expenses whilst supporting the maintenance of financial procedures & systems, budgeting, management accounts and record keeping.

  • Reconciling daily, monthly and yearly transactions
  • Assisting in the preparation of management accounts were necessary
  • Generate monthly reports
  • Managing records and receipts
  • Recording of various transactions including investments
  • Processing invoices and staff reimbursement forms
  • Providing customer service to clients
  • Being a key point of contact for other departments
  • Supporting the Finance Manager with projects and on financial and accounting matters tasks when required

The successful candidate will have Accounts Payable, and Expenses reimbursement experience from within a Banking or Financial Services setting - alongside industry experience you will likely be studying for the ACCA qualifications
