Job Description
Accounts Payable Team Leader (2 Positions)

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced AP professional looking to step into a leadership role within a fast-paced, high-volume environment, supporting operations across Ireland, the UK and Europe.

The Role

Reporting into senior finance leadership, you will take ownership of the Accounts Payable function, leading a team while ensuring best-in-class processes, controls, and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing Accounts Payable team
  • Oversee the end-to-end AP process including invoice processing, approvals, payments and reconciliations
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and support audit requirements
  • Manage month-end close activities, including reconciliations and reporting
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Partner with procurement and project teams to ensure efficient workflows
  • Drive continuous improvement, automation, and process optimisation initiatives
  • Monitor KPIs and performance metrics across the AP function
About You
  • Strong experience leading an Accounts Payable team
  • Background in a fast-paced, high-volume or multinational environment
  • Solid understanding of AP processes, controls and compliance
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP, COINS, Basware)
  • Knowledge of VAT and construction-related taxes (RCT/CIS advantageous)
  • Proven ability to manage deadlines, priorities and stakeholder relationships
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
