Job Description

Accounts / Office Manager

  • Location: Antrim area
  • Job Type: Full-time Permanent Office-based
  • Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Reed Accountancy are delighted to be partnered with a dynamic manufacturing company based just outside of Antrim in the appointment of an experienced Accounts / Office Manager to join their team!

The successful Accounts / Office Manager will oversee financial operations, manage office administration, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements. This is a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting management decisions, and liaising with external stakeholders.

Day-to-day of the role:

Finance & Compliance

  • Manage all accounting processes including bank reconciliations, credit control, aged debtors/creditors, and petty cash.
  • Prepare and submit VAT, PAYE, CIS, RCT, and other statutory returns.
  • Oversee payroll, expenses, and HR-related financial tasks.
  • Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts and reports.

Office & Administration

  • Maintain office systems, subscriptions, and contracts.
  • Handle internal and external queries, ensuring smooth communication.
  • Support directors with minute-taking and ad hoc projects.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and government bodies.

Process Improvement & Reporting

  • Monitor KPIs and reconcile accounts at month-end.
  • Conduct costing analysis and review production spreadsheets.
  • Assist with compliance submissions and foreign taxation setups.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Part-qualified accountant/accounts technician or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office and Accounting Software.
  • Minimum 5 years in finance/accounting with office management experience.
  • Manufacturing sector experience desirable.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proactive, problem-solving mindset.
  • High integrity and confidentiality.
