Sheridan Maine is delighted to be working with a well-established business in Hertford that is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join the team on a temporary basis.

This is a great opportunity for an organised and detail-focused finance professional who is looking to gain further experience within a busy finance environment.

Responsibilities of this Accounts Assistant position will include:

• Processing invoices and maintaining accurate financial records
• Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Reconciling accounts and investigating discrepancies
• Processing payments and supporting with banking duties
• Assisting with month-end processes
• Responding to finance-related queries
• Providing general administrative support to the wider finance team

The successful Accounts Assistant will ideally have/be:

• Previous experience within an accounts or finance role
• Confident working with numbers and financial information
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and finance systems
• Able to work independently and manage competing priorities
• Available to start at short notice
