Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-orientated Accounts Assistant to join an indigenous organisation based on the South side of Cork City. This is a full-time, permanent role and will provide accounting and administrative support to senior accounting and finance staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Posting of daily Customer Cash Remittances.
- Handling customer enquiries in relation to invoices and statement requests.
- Reconciliation of customer accounts and related credit control.
- Supplier account payments, account management and reconciliations.
- Weekly/monthly bank reconciliations.
- Petty cash transactions.
- Accurate entry of financial data into accounting systems.
- Process supplier payment requests (including foreign currency transactions).
- Providing general administrative support to the Senior Accountant in the Finance Department.
- Ad hoc financial analysis tasks as required.
Requirements:
- 2+ years experience in an accounts or similar role.
- Proficiency in financial software including Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with internal and external parties.
- Excellent organisation and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
