Accounting Assistant

About the Role

We are seeking a tech-savvy Associate Accountant to join our dynamic General Ledger team in the EMEA region. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented finance professional with strong analytical skills and a passion for leveraging technology to drive efficiency and insight. You will play a key role in executing monthly financial close operations, maintaining financial dashboards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute monthly financial close operations and related transactional activities.
• Review and process revenue journals with accuracy and timeliness.
• Utilize and support various financial systems including SAP, Blackline, Onestream, Hyperion, Redwood, and Snowflake.
• Design, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards to support financial reporting and decision-making.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and proactively resolve open or aged balances.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders through email, virtual meetings, and in-person interactions.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal control standards.
• Drive process improvements using Lean Six Sigma DMAIC methodology.
• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and resolving audit queries.

Must-Have Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
• Proficiency in Excel, SAP, Power BI, and Visio.
• Experience with analytical tools such as Power BI or Tableau - advantageous
• Strong technical aptitude and a passion for automation and digital tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Team player with a proactive, hands-on approach.
