Job Description
Position Overview 
Location: Swindon
Qualification: Level 3 Assistant Accountant or Level 4 Professional Accounting
Start Date: September 2026
Closing Date for Applications: 8th March 2026
ResponsibilitiesYour role could involve:
- Assisting with month and year-end financial processes and reporting
- Delivering financial analysis to stakeholders
- Utilising financial systems to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of financial information
- Involvement in forecasting and planning activities to provide insight to the business on future outlooks
- Collaborating with customers and stakeholders to deliver services that meet their needs, ensuring a positive outcome for all
- Driving continuous improvement activity and participating in projects to enhance processes, systems, and service delivery
Required qualifications and skills:
- A minimum of five GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C/4 including Maths and English
- Grade C or above in at least 3 A-levels including a numerical subject (Maths, Statistics, Physics, Economics, or Accounting) for the Level 4 Apprenticeship
- Due to government restrictions, permanent right to reside and work in the UK and must have resided in the UK for a minimum of three consecutive years
- A professional attitude with a positive 'can do' approach to work
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to build strong working relationships
- Attention to detail and a curious nature
- Note: Applicants who have completed a qualification in the same field at the same or higher level to the course are not eligible.
- Level 3 Assistant Accountant including AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting
- Level 4 Professional Accounting Technician Apprenticeship including a qualification from CIMA, ACCA or AAT in Accounting
