Hays Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be working with a well established and growing organisation to recruit an Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to join a successful multi-entity business with a diverse operational portfolio and play a key role in supporting senior leadership with financial reporting, strategic planning and commercial decision-making.

Your new role

• Preparation and presentation of monthly management accounts.
• Maintenance, review and ongoing improvement of accounting systems, controls and financial procedures.
• Financial forecasting, budgeting and strategic planning support.
• Management of statutory reporting requirements and liaison with external auditors.
• Bank reconciliations, VAT returns and other regulatory submissions.
• Oversight of debtors, creditors and cash flow management.
• Support with acquisitions, investments and wider commercial projects.
• Monitoring and reviewing payroll processes.
• Providing meaningful financial insights and reports to senior stakeholders.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the finance function.

What you'll need to succeed

• Fully qualified Accountant
• Experienced in management accounting, statutory reporting and audit processes.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Confident in communicating financial information to senior stakeholders and leadership teams.
• Advanced Excel user with experience across a range of financial systems.
