Job Description Accountancy & Business Teacher (IB / IGCSE / CISCE) 1. Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Accountancy & Business Teacher to deliver high-quality instruction across IB, IGCSE, and CISCE curricula. The role focuses on building strong conceptual understanding, analytical thinking, and real-world application of business and financial principles.

The ideal candidate should also be open to teaching Economics, if required.

2. Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with IB DP/MYP, Cambridge IGCSE, and CISCE (ICSE/ISC) frameworks
  • Develop unit plans, lesson plans, and assessments as per academic standards
  • Ensure comprehensive coverage of:
    • Marketing
    • Finance
    • Human Resource Management
    • Operations Management
    • Financial & Cost Accounting
    • Financial Analysis

Assessment & Evaluation

  • Design formative and summative assessments aligned with board requirements
  • Provide timely, constructive feedback to students
  • Prepare students for:
    • Board Examinations
    • Internal Assessments (IA)
    • Extended Essays (EE)
    • Project-based assessments

Student Engagement & Support

  • Facilitate inquiry-based learning through case studies, simulations, and real-world applications
  • Offer individual academic support and mentoring
  • Track student progress and maintain accurate academic records

Professional Responsibilities

  • Participate in departmental meetings, moderation, and collaborative planning
  • Engage in Continuous Professional Development (CPD)
  • Maintain classroom discipline and uphold school values
  • Contribute to school events, commerce clubs, competitions, and academic initiatives
