Mailman are looking for someone to w ork as the day-to-day lead for key international sports clients Manchester United and Sevilla FC, overseeing the planning, execution, and optimisation of social media and digital campaigns. The bridge between clients and internal teams, ensuring delivery of high-quality work that drives fan engagement, brand growth, and business impact. With a strong understanding of the global digital landscape, particularly in APAC and MENA markets, help tailor digital strategies that resonate across cultures and languages.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Client Management
- Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned clients, cultivating trusted, long-term partnerships through proactive communication and strategic guidance.
- Deeply understand each client's brand, business objectives, and digital goals-acting as their internal advocate across all projects.
- Lead regular status updates, performance reviews, and strategy sessions, delivering meaningful insights and clear next steps.
- Collaborate with the Account Director to plan and facilitate in-person workshops and strategic presentations, contributing to agenda setting, deck creation, and delivery.
- Anticipate client needs, identify growth opportunities, and flag risks or challenges early, maintaining consistently high client satisfaction.
- Own the development and execution of comprehensive, multi-platform social media strategies, tailored to the nuances of regional markets such as China, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East.
- Align social strategies with overarching brand objectives while adapting tone, format, and platform choice to fit local audience behaviours and cultural preferences.
- Stay ahead of regional platform trends (e.g., WeChat, Douyin, LINE) and advise clients on channel relevance, content innovation, and audience engagement tactics
Campaign & Content Execution
- Oversee planning and rollout of digital campaigns, from major announcements to tentpole events (e.g. local days of significance, match days, transfer news, international tours).
- Ensure timely, high-quality delivery of content and community management.
- Coordinate across departments to align editorial calendars with global and local strategies.
Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Produce and present regular performance reports (weekly, monthly, seasonal), distilling platform data into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Monitor key social and digital metrics such as reach, engagement, follower growth, and sentiment, broken down by market and content type.
- Conduct competitor benchmarking and trend analysis to inform ongoing strategic refinement and to identify white space for clients in each region.
- Work closely with creative, production, and editorial teams to ensure all assets are aligned with client brand guidelines and adapted appropriately for each local market.
- Manage communication and workflow with regional teams and market leads across Asia to ensure local executions are aligned with the overarching strategy, timelines, and quality standards.
- Act as a central coordination point between global and in-market teams, facilitating knowledge-sharing, content localisation, and real-time campaign feedback loops.
- Support internal upskilling and knowledge-sharing by highlighting regional platform best practices, campaign successes, and cultural insights that enhance global understanding and delivery.
Knowledge and Experience
- Proven experience in client servicing or account management within the sports, media, or marketing industry
- Strong understanding of the Asian digital landscape
- Track record of developing and delivering multi-channel digital campaigns, including digital, content, sponsorship inclusion, and on-ground activations, preferably in an international context
- Experience managing cross-cultural team of social media managers, with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse environments and time zones
- Track record of strategic thinking, with experience in budgeting, reporting, and evaluating campaign performance against KPIs
- Experience coordinating with production, creative, and content teams, ensuring timely and on-brand delivery of campaigns across multiple formats and languages
Skills and Abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and manage relationships with clients, partners, and internal teams across different cultures.
- Strong project management abilities, including planning, multitasking, and delivering high-quality work to tight deadlines.
- Fluent written and verbal English skills, with additional Asian language proficiency (e.g., Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, or Bahasa) considered a strong asset.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative, while also collaborating effectively within cross-functional and regional teams.
- Cultural sensitivity and adaptability, with an understanding of how to navigate different business customs and etiquette across Asian markets.
- Commercial mindset with negotiation skills, able to support the delivery of value to both clients and the agency.
- High level of attention to detail, especially in reporting, presentations, and campaign execution.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt and respond quickly to changing client or market needs.
- Comfortable using tools such as Keynote, Excel, and project management platforms (e.g. Click up) to organize and communicate work.
- Confidence in presenting ideas and campaign plans, both internally and externally, with clarity, structure, and enthusiasm.
Working Conditions
- This is a permanent position.
- This role will be based at Chiswick Park, with some flexibility on remote working as appropriate
- May be required to attend (and travel to) locations, including other IMG buildings and meetings
- Unsocial hours may be required, as dictated by the demands of the business schedule
- Adapting to use of new systems and technology where appropriate
