Account Handler - Commercial Insurance Robert Gerrard Chingford

Robert Gerrard (part of the Jensten Group) is currently recruiting for a Commercial Account Handler to join our specialist Lift Plan team in Chingford.

Our welcoming team of 7 sits within a broader broking office of 21 colleagues. As the UK's leading lift liability insurance broker, we offer the most extensive range of specialist policies for the lift and escalator industry. More than 700 companies trust Lift Plan-our tailored liability package designed exclusively for lift engineers, consultants, designers, and manufacturers.

This is an office-based role, located directly opposite Chingford train station, making commuting easy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support to clients in a professional, timely manner-handling quotations, new business, mid-term amendments, and renewals.
• Manage insurance policy administration, including mid-term adjustments and cancellations, ensuring documentation accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare and present insurance quotations and renewal terms, collaborating with underwriters for competitive coverage.
• Communicate with clients about cover details, gaps, and significant terms or exclusions.
• Re-broke existing business to ensure clients receive optimal coverage and terms.
• Assist clients with claims reporting and liaise with claims handlers for efficient resolution.

About You:

We seek someone with insurance knowledge to help maintain and develop strong relationships with clients. The ideal candidate will be motivated, proactive, and passionate about growing the business.

Other skills/requirements include:

• Previous insurance experience, ideally with Liability knowledge.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities.
• A genuine passion for learning and development in insurance.
• Experience with Acturis system is preferred but not essential.
