Academy Therapist

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Academy Therapist to join the Academy team.

This is a part time role working 10 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide pitch side first aid cover for fixtures and training.
• Ensure the first aid equipment is in date, accessible and transported to the appropriatevenues.
• When requested, attend before, during and after training/games.
• Provide a verbal and written handover for relevant injured players to the appropriate full time and casual medical staff.
• Ensuring that any safeguarding and welfare concerns of all Academy players are raised and dealt with in an appropriate manner.
• To assist in fitness testing and anthropometric testing of all Academy players.
• To maintain up to date medical records.

General Responsibilities:

• Be an ambassador of the Group, providing excellent customer service at all times whilst portraying a professional image.
• Treat all colleagues as customers, ensuring respectful, positive outcomes across all communications.
• Adhere to and abide by all club policies, procedures and guidelines, especially remembering responsibilities to others under EqualOpportunities, Health and Safety, Equality and Diversity.

AFC Wimbledon Academy are offering an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual to join our club in our medical department.

The successful candidate will support our medical department in delivering our Physiotherapy Schoolboy provision.

They will contribute to several management groups, and will be supported as part of their ongoing professional development.

They will join our exciting development programme and contribute towards the academies vision of establishing itself as the best category 3 academy in the country.

Requirements:

• BSc in Physiotherapy, Sports Therapy or Sports Rehabilitation
• Registration with the relevant governing body (e.g. - HCPC/CSP/SST/STA/BASRAT)
• Valid FA (Enhanced) DBS Check, or being willing to complete one
• Ability to travel to and from venues where needed
