Split role of Head of Education & Recruitment Analyst.
Responsible for: To lead and develop the Academy's Education department in line with the club's strategic objectives and EPPP. Also assist with recruiting Academy Players and tracking and monitoring trialists.
Head of Education - Designated for 20 hours per week.
Recruitment Analyst - Designated for 17.5 hours per week.

Academy Head of Education
Reporting to: Mark Moss - Academy Manager
Responsible for: To lead and develop the Academy's Education department in line with the club's strategic objectives and EPPP. Designated for 20 hours per week.
Location: County Ground
Key duties include but are not limited to:
- Uphold and embody the Academy Values both in and away from Swindon Town.
- Organise, manage, and deliver the Club's Education Programme.
- Oversee scholar education programmes, including attendance at educational meetings, ensuring adherence, and taking action if targets are not met.
- Manage support for scholars regarding 'End Point Assessment' on the SEP.
- Develop strategies and interventions to help players reach their educational potential.
- Create educational reviews for individual players and hold meetings with players and parents to discuss educational and behavioral issues.
- Work with third-party providers to implement lifestyle skills programmes relevant to young players.
- Support the creation and implementation of welfare plans linked to development phases.
- Collaborate across all Academy departments to ensure a Multi-Disciplinary Programme.
- Manage the Education Support Fund budget to support learning in all areas.
- Set and achieve realistic recruitment and performance targets for students.
- Encourage respect and appreciation of individuality among students.
- Engage in ongoing professional development organized by the Club.
Recruitment Analyst Role - designated for 17 hours per week
- Organise and manage talent ID events, trials, open sessions, and scouting opportunities.
- Collaborate with coaches, Head of Recruitment, and Management to identify players aligning with the club's profile and development goals.
- Maintain scouting reports and player tracking databases using the Notion App.
- Support game and training observations to identify potential recruits.
- Coordinate with external clubs, organisations, and schools to foster partnerships and facilitate access.
- Provide timely reports and updates on talent identification efforts to Phase leads.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS).
- Relevant experience in a football environment.
- Current Safeguarding qualification.
- Playing and coaching experience at various clubs.
- Previous teaching experience, including with BTEC programmes.
- Team player with a flexible approach to work.
