Are you a high-achieving graduate looking to become an Academic Mentor in Brent from September 2026? This ambitious North West London school is looking for a confident core subject graduate who can support pupils academically while gaining valuable school-based experience before teacher training.

Academic Mentor School Details
  • Based in Brent, with strong transport links across North West London
  • Support pupils across KS2, KS3 or KS4 depending on your subject strength
  • Focus on raising attainment in English, Maths, Science or Humanities
  • Work with pupils who need additional academic stretch, confidence and structure
  • Some SEND support may be involved, but this is primarily an academic intervention role
Academic Mentor Candidate Requirements
  • 2:1 or above in a core subject from a strong university
  • Strong GCSEs and A-Levels, especially in English, Maths or Science
  • Clear ambition to become a teacher or work in education
  • Confident explaining ideas clearly and adapting support to different pupils
  • Professional, reliable and able to commit for the full academic year
