Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods to various locations. This role requires excellent driving skills, a strong commitment to customer service, and the ability to handle heavy lifting as part of daily operations.
Duties
Operate a 7.5 tonne vehicle for the delivery of goods to specified locations.
Ensure the safe loading and unloading of products, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Conduct pre-journey vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with legal requirements.
Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork in a timely manner.
Assist with warehouse duties as required, including stock management and organisation.
Drive responsibly, demonstrating adherence to all traffic laws and company policies.
Qualifications
Valid UK driving licence with a category C1 entitlement (7.5 tonne).
Valid DQC and Digital Tacho Card
Previous experience as a commercial driver or delivery driver is preferred.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as part of the role.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
Experience in warehouse operations is advantageous.
A good understanding of road safety regulations and best practices for driving.
