Job Description
Administration Assistant & Receptionist Band 2

£26,696 - £28,988 plus shift enhancements.

Duration: 36 hours per week - SHIFT WORK over 24 hour/7 day service.

Department: REAS Administration; Location: Royal Edinburgh Building / Royal Edinburgh Hospital.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Administration Team of NHS Lothian, Royal Edinburgh and Associated Services (REAS), including the Mental Health Assessment Service (MHAS).
  • Carry out a wide range of administrative tasks, including day to day administration within wards.
  • Manage and answer calls and enquiries for vulnerable patient groups, health professionals and third party sectors.
  • Provide excellent customer service, a professional and positive approach, and maintain safe and efficient running of work.
  • Work the following shifts on a rotational basis: Monday to Sunday.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues and patients, demonstrating empathy and good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Work independently or as part of a team, showing initiative, handling pressure and adapting to change.
Qualifications
  • PVG Scheme membership/record is required; if not a current member, an application to Disclosure Scotland will be required.
  • Experience in a customer facing or administrative role preferred.
