Specialist Nurse - Band 6
Gynae Oncology
30 hrs per week

Please note: As this post is part time, the salary will be pro rata.
We need a suitably qualified and experienced nurse to join the Gynae Oncology Cancer Nurse Specialist Team. The team works closely with both Surgical and Oncology services supporting patients throughout their cancer journey, and is based at the WGH.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical nursing care to Gynae Oncology patients, including assessments, treatment administration, and follow up care.
- Support patients throughout their cancer journey in the Gynae Oncology Cancer Nurse Specialist Team, coordinating care across surgical and oncology services.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Document and report patient care activities accurately and timely.
Qualifications
- First level registered nurse with experience in Oncology and either Surgery or Palliative Care.
- Ability to work autonomously and independently.
- Desirable: related advanced study in oncology nursing.
- Board membership/current record on the PVG Scheme for the required regulatory group.
As from 1 April 2026, the Agenda for Change full time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours. Part time hours will be reduced pro rata, but the hourly rate will be increased so that pay will not be affected.
