Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist in Hand Therapy (Band 7)
Out-patient Physiotherapy Department, WGH, Edinburgh
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our MSK Out-patient Service at the Western General Hospital to provide and develop the delivery of a specialist hand therapy service.
This service has strong links with the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary and St John's Hospital, Livingston, physiotherapy hand services. The service manages trauma, elective, surgical and non-surgical upper limb patients.
This post will be integrated within the MSK out-patient service at the Western General and the candidate will be expected to work closely with the Out-patient team lead.
Candidates will have extensive evidence of the management of specialist hand conditions including splinting and wound management. You will participate in in-service development to support a proactive team approach to the delivery of physiotherapy to this patient group.
Candidates must demonstrate leadership skills to provide effective management for the hand therapy service. This will include supporting various members of the MSK team.
You will be involved in QI projects which will be local and pan-Lothian as part of the ongoing integration and development of the Hand Service in Lothian.
