Job Description
Position
  • HMP Manchester, 1 Southall Street, Cheetham Hill, Manchester, M60 9AH
  • Starting salary: £35,875 for a 39 hour week (incl. 20% unsocial)
  • City/Town: Manchester, Region: North West
  • Vacancy type: Merit CTC REQUIRED.
Responsibilities
  • Communicate and influence within the prison environment.
  • Manage a quality service, ensuring effective decision making.
  • Caring for prisoners and maintaining safety standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Minimum age 18 at commencement of employment.
  • Meet Civil Service nationality requirements.
  • Pass a medical and fitness assessment, including an eyesight test, hearing test (without aids), and basic health screening.
  • Meet suitable hearing standards for a high security (category A) prison.
  • For category A: Resident in the UK for the last 3 years.
