2 x personal assistants required - Skelmersdale area - LILS/EM/LG2

Job Overview

We are looking for two reliable and enthusiastic Personal Assistants to support a bubbly and engaging adult gentleman living in the Skelmersdale area. Hours & Flexibility: Hours can be worked midweek or at weekends, with flexibility to suit both parties. Some evening work may be required.

Key Responsibilities

The role involves providing practical and social support, including:

• Light household tasks such as cooking, cleaning, laundry and shopping
• Supporting and encouraging the client to access the community and participate in activities
• Providing motivation and positive encouragement to help him build confidence and stay active

Client Interests & Activities

The client enjoys a wide range of activities including:

• RC cars
• Animals
• Attending car meets
• Fishing
• Snooker/pool
• Gym and swimming
• Cinema visits
• Retro gaming

He is open to trying new things but benefits from lots of encouragement and positive engagement.

Desired Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is:

• Clearly spoken with good communication skills
• Patient, proactive and engaging
• Able to encourage participation in activities in a calm and supportive way
• Aware of Autism and epilepsy (experience preferred but not essential)
• Sensitive to tone of voice, as the client is particularly responsive to how things are said
• A car driver is desirable but not essential
