Client: Female, 41 years old
We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and engaging female Support Worker to provide person-centred care for a client living in Bristol.
Monday & Tuesday days available + ad hoc shifts
About the Client:The client is a 41 year old woman who loves Disney, music, and radio. She attends a day centre twice a week and takes part in various structured activities throughout the week, as well as enjoying home based activities such as colouring and computer tasks. She has cerebral palsy and is a full time wheelchair user. She communicates using an Accent communication device and has full understanding, enjoying meaningful conversations and social interaction.
Shifts: Monday & Tuesday days - ad hoc shifts also available
Key Responsibilities:- Providing full support with personal care
- Assisting with feeding and maintaining hydration
- Supporting with daily routines and structured activities
- Facilitating social outings and maintaining friendships
- Providing emotional support and helping with emotional regulation when needed
- Assisting with medication administration (morning vitamins and evening medication)
- Supporting safe transfers using an overhead hoist
- Female support worker (essential)
- Full UK driving licence (essential) - access to a WAV (automatic) will be provided
- Experience using an overhead hoist (or willingness to learn)
- Patient, understanding, and able to support emotional needs
- A positive, fun, and engaging personality
- Experience in care is desirable
- Medication administration experience is an advantage
