1:1 Teaching Assistant Peterborough

About the role:

A partner primary school in Peterborough is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a student with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) starting after Easter 2026.

This full-time role is offered through Justteachers until at least summer and provides a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a supportive and inclusive setting.

The school are a warm and welcoming primary school with a lively and dynamic atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored 1:1 support to a KS1 pupil with ASC
• Assist with classroom engagement, emotional regulation, and social development
• Work closely with teaching staff and the SENCO to implement individual support strategies
• Help adapt learning materials and activities to meet the student's needs
• Foster a calm, structured, and encouraging learning environment

Pre-requisites:

• Experience supporting students with ASC or other SEN (preferred)
• A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Relevant TA qualification (Level 2 or 3) or equivalent experience
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
