1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant

1:1 Teaching Assistant - South Birmingham Primary School

Tradewind Recruitment are working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in South Birmingham to recruit a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant for a long term position starting in September 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact by supporting a pupil on a one-to one basis, helping them access learning and develop both academically and socially.

The Role

• Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs
• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons
• Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs
• Promote positive behaviour and inclusion
• Support the child's emotional and social development

Ideal Candidate

• Experience working with children in a primary setting
• Confident supporting pupils with SEN (experience desirable)
• Patient, nurturing and proactive approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
