About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Team Leader to join our Catering and Event Services team on the University's main campus.

This is a key front-of-house position where you will act as the face of our catering operation, helping us deliver excellent service to students, staff, and visitors.

What You'll Be Doing

Providing day-to-day leadership and direction to Hospitality Assistants.

Serving and delivering a wide range of food and beverages, including:

  • Grab-and-go items
  • Speciality coffees
  • Hot food and snacks

Ensuring high standards of customer care, service quality, and presentation.

Working flexibly across all areas of Commercial Services as required.

Using departmental systems such as:

  • Procure Wizard
  • Agresso Web
  • The University's EPOS system

Supporting the smooth, efficient, and safe delivery of catering operations.

What We're Looking For
  • Experience in catering, hospitality, or front-of-house roles.
  • Strong communication and people skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and pride in customer service.
  • A flexible, positive, and team-focused approach.
  • Confidence to lead by example and support colleagues during busy periods.
  • Willingness to learn and become a competent user of our digital systems.
