IT Systems Engineer

IT Systems Role - Hemel Hempstead - £40 - 45K

An exciting opportunity to join and IT team supporting systems and services for staff across global locations enabling the engineering excellence behind the latest hi-tech products. In this role you will use solutions from the world's leading providers to deliver a first-class support service to our user community (Globally).Working within the IT Infrastructure team, you will help support a range of modern technologies, plus other bespoke, industry-specific solutions. Your role will include, but not limited to:

• Data Centre solutions.
• Server and storage administration.
• Providing 3rd line support (Global Service Delivery Team).
• Microsoft 365 tenant configuration and management.
• Managing Cloud presence.
• Testing & delivering User Experience improvements.

About You

• Strong problem determination skills.
• Experience of supporting Linux workstations.
• Experience of supporting Windows operating systems (server, desktop, dual-boot).
• OS and Application patching / WSUS.
• Systems Monitoring - Grafana / Zabbix.
• Physical system commissioning skills - server, desktop, and peripherals.
• Hands-on engineering: Soldering, scopes, irons, testbench, crimping, PCB pin-outs etc.
• Experience supporting M365/O365 suite.
• Active Directory & Azure infrastructure management experience.
• Understand network support essentials - DHCP, DNS, routing etc

You might also have:

• ITIL qualification.
• Experience supporting an international user-base.
• Bash/Python experience.
• MySQL database experience.
• SharePoint administration experience.
• VMWare/Horizon administration experience.
• Enterprise storage experience.
