What the role as a Behaviour Therapy Assistant entails:

• Fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for the students
• Assist the class teacher in implementing any personalised educational pans or interventions
• Provide the students with the right tools to manage and cope with their emotions
• Facilitate a safe environment to learn

Your day to day as a Behaviour Therapy Assistant:

• Working alongside the class teacher to help the students reach their goals
• Help manage any behaviour
• Model correct coping strategies
• Encourage the students to try their best
• Support the students on their academic journey

The Successful Behaviour Therapy Assistant:

• You will have some experience working with children
• You will be passionate about education and helping children with their academic goals
• You must understand the importance of safeguarding
• You will be positive, enthusiastic and proactive

This is really a great role for individuals who are looking to get some experience working with children who have a hard time with their emotions and school work.

Graduates are welcome to apply as well as those with a background in sports, music, art or drama.
