Bank Support Worker

Pay rate: £12.50 per hour & Sleep in rate £5.56 (WEEKLY PAY) Shift Pattern: 36 hours - Monday - Sunday 10:00am - 20:00pm then Sleep in. Location: Taunton Requirements: Previous healthcare experience and a full UK driver's license. This role will be working with a gentleman with learning disability, Autism & Cerebral Palsy in his own home. He enjoys going out into the community daily. We will provide staff on a 1:1 24/7 basis. Key Responsibilities

Support Workers cover all manners of support for others - from companionship and days out, to personal care and housekeeping.

• Support with all facets of daily living including personal care. Foster a supportive and inclusive environment. Ensure the individual's safety and well-being at all times. Communicate effectively with the individual and other team members. Maintain confidentiality and respect privacy. Adhere to care plans and guidelines provided. Aid with light household chores which may include cooking, cleaning. Helping to plan and organise leisure opportunities. Enabling access to the community

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• UK driver's license Previous Autism experience desirable Previous learning disability experience desirable Enthusiastic and willingness to learn. Ability to effectively communicate with individuals requiring care. Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols. Empathy, patience, and compassion when interacting with individuals in need of support. Flexibility and adaptability to meet varying care needs. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Willingness to undergo additional training and development as required.
