Secondary - Science Teacher

Reed Education is looking for a dynamic Science Teacher to join a secondary school in Barrow. The role is to start immediately on a long-term basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of the curriculum, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to fostering an engaging learning environment for students at KS3 and KS4 levels, with KS5 being an advantage.

• Delivering Science lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Creating a stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning and engagement.
• Assessing and monitoring student progress and providing feedback to improve academic outcomes.
• Implementing classroom management strategies to maintain a focused learning atmosphere.
• Collaborating with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the school's objectives.
• Acting as a role model for students, demonstrating qualities of compassion, trustworthiness, and good listening skills.

• Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Recent and relevant experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4, with KS5 being beneficial.
• Excellent classroom practitioner with strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
• Reliable, committed, and capable of working with students as a positive role model.
• Good interpersonal skills, punctuality, patience, and confidence when working with children.
