Job Title: Water Treatment Service / Plumbing Engineer.
Location: Reading, Berkshire.
Salary / Benefits: £24k - £36k + Training + Benefits

We have an opportunity in the South of England for a Water Treatment Service / Plumbing Engineer to join a professional and forward-thinking provider of Water Treatment services. You will be providing various Water Treatment / Plumbing services to various longstanding clients, including Healthcare, Industrial, Commercial, and Domestic sites. Successful candidates will have an excellent work ethic and will be driven and determined to provide excellent quality services in line with HSG 274 / ACoP L8 guidelines.

Consideration will be given to candidates from: Didcot, Abingdon, Oxford, Witney, Bicester, Oxon, Slough, Bracknell, Basingstoke, Aldershot, Woking, Guildford, Farnham, Epsom, Crawley, Horsham, Haslemere.

Experience & Qualifications

• Hold the City and Guilds / NVQ L2 or higher in Plumbing.
• Have extensive experience working as a Water Treatment Engineer with experience on more technical systems, e.g., Cooling towers / Steam Boilers.
• Possess good IT skills.
• Be able to carry out work in a time efficient manner.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills.
• Maintain up to date knowledge of HSG 274 / ACoP L8 guidelines.

The Role

• Carry out routine chemical analysis on steam boilers and closed systems using test kits.
• Carry out chemical dosing on closed systems.
• Perform CWST installations, cleans, and chlorinations.
• Conduct deadleg removals.
• Remove, replace, and reroute copper and PVC pipework.
• Install, replace, repair, service, and perform failsafe testing of TMV.
• Descale showerheads.
• Sample water and monitor temperature.
• Flush seldom-used outlets.
• Sample and analyze LTHW and CHW systems.
• Perform all work in line with HSG 274 / ACoP L8 guidelines.
• Update onsite logbooks upon completion of work.
• Provide support and excellent technical advice to clients.
