Job Summary

A leading provider of Water Treatment / Water Hygiene management services is looking for a City and Guilds / NVQ qualified Water Treatment Equipment / Remedial Engineer to work on commercial and industrial sites. The role involves servicing water softener, chlorine dioxide, and reverse osmosis systems, cooling tower cleans and disinfections, deadleg removals, and installation, removal, and re routing of PVC/copper pipework. Successful candidates will also receive further training, attractive overtime and travel rates, and a company pension.

Experience & Qualifications

• Extensive hands on experience as a Water Treatment Equipment / Remedial Engineer with an established Water Treatment / Water Hygiene company.
• Holder of City and Guilds / NVQ Level 2 or higher in plumbing (or higher).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong time management, able to finish work within agreed timeframes.
• Well versed in HSG 274 / ACoP L8 guidelines.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Service water softener, chlorine dioxide, and reverse osmosis units.
• Sample, analyse and dose closed systems.
• Service CLO2 units.
• Conduct deadleg removals.
• Perform CWST cleans and disinfections.
• Install, remove and re route PVC / copper pipework.
• Attend sites for fault finding and issue rectification.
• Flush rarely used outlets.
• Install expansion vessels.
• Carry out calorifier endoscopic inspections.
• Perform mains injections.
• Sample and analyse LTHW and CHW systems.
• Perform routine water sampling and temperature monitoring.
• Clean and descale showerheads.
• Ensure compliance with HSG 274 / ACoP L8 guidelines.
• Update onsite logbooks upon completion of work.
