PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £140,000-£155,000 + London Weighting (£5,441) + 25% Bonus, depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

Your Key Responsibilities and Impact
  • Champion fandom first strategy: Put audiences at the heart of every decision, building experiences that spark passion and loyalty
  • Define and deliver commercial strategy across social and digital platforms, unlocking new opportunities and maximising profitability
  • Build out our stable of partnerships: Collaborate with creators, studios, and digital platforms to expand reach, drive innovation, and cement BBC Studios as a leader in the creator economy
  • Lead the charge on commercialisation: Set the vision, drive execution, and measure impact across the business
  • Elevate global relationships with social and digital partners, ensuring BBC Studios is front and centre in the digital landscape
Essential Criteria
  • Demonstrable experience of having successfully led, motivated and developed a team of digital focussed commercial and marketing professionals
  • Possesses a strong understanding of the Social and Digital publishing sector and BBC competitors, and the relevant in depth knowledge of current global industry trends and issues relating to their functional area.
  • A collaborative style and someone who is comfortable dealing with ambiguity and working in a matrixed organisation with a significant amount of stakeholder management, and who can work well under pressure
  • Able to collaborate across organisational boundaries, embrace change, and make improvements to working practices.
  • A mix of strong commercial skills, and creative instinct who can represent the world leading IP and storytelling capability BBC
Desired Skills (Not Required)
  • A senior leader - good at talent attraction, development, culture, empowerment, motivation and being clear, fair and inclusive; bringing multiple disciplines together in ways which achieve outstanding results.
  • A deep functional/technical expert with broad and comprehensive understanding of theories, systems and practices.
  • Demonstrable experience of using data from multiple platforms to drive decision making and efficiency.
  • Excellent senior stakeholder management skills, able to build rapport and credible, trusted and strong working relationships.
  • Proven ability to turn strategy into action and lead a team to operationally deliver against stretching targets and priorities
