Night Veterinary Surgeon - Job Overview

Elevate your veterinary career within a dynamic and diverse environment that truly values work-life harmony and professional growth. A modern first-opinion small animal practice is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Night Veterinary Surgeon to enrich their multicultural team across two thriving branches in the West Midlands.

Imagine working in a practice that boasts state-of-the-art equipment and a commitment to investing in new technologies, ensuring that the care provided is of the highest standard. With a variety of patients including dogs, cats, and small furries, the role promises a rich and varied caseload. One branch, with its 2 vet, 3 nurse team, focuses on a range of procedures including dentistry and ultrasonography. The other branch operates as a 24 hour hospital, dealing with complex cases and a significant amount of emergency and critical care (ECC), led by a head vet with extensive experience in bull breeds and a passion for their welfare.

This permanent position as a Night Veterinary Surgeon at the 24/7 hospital branch offers a unique 7 on / 7 off rota, allowing you to enjoy a balanced lifestyle. You will be responsible for sole charge out of hours work, supported by a night Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN). The role comes with a competitive and negotiable salary based on experience, and certificates and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) are fully supported.

The benefits of this role are truly exceptional. Enjoy a generous salary of up to £75,000 per annum, complemented by a work life balance with 6 weeks of annual leave. A £5,000 CPD allowance and certificate support are on offer, alongside VDS cover, RCVS fees, and a pension scheme with a 5% employee contribution matched by a 3% employer contribution. You'll also benefit from discounted pet care, and additional perks such as a company car, accommodation, and visa sponsorship if required.
