Treasurer for local advice charity

In your role as Treasurer you will work closely with the Finance Officer (who is a qualified accountant) and CEO.
You will use your finance and accountany skills to:
- Lead at Board meetings on presenting and interpreting regular financial reports, annual accounts and making recommendations. Lead on the appointment of auditors and responding to changes in legislation.
This is a vital role, helping ensure we can continue our support for the local community. As Treasurer, you will have a real opportunity to offer your unique skill set to help the strategic progression of the charity.
As part of our board you will support and shape our work and strategic direction, as well as help us achieve our purpose to help everyone in society that needs us. We help people to resolve their problems by providing advice and information on a wide range of issues including benefits, debt & money, employment, discrimination, family, housing, immigration and health. We also use evidence of individuals' problems to campaign for improvements in law and services that affect everyone.
